In South Ossetia on Wednesday horse racing was held for the prizes of President of the Republic, dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the Act of Declaration of Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The best riders and horses from all over the Republic took part in the sporting event.
15 people applied for the prizes, among them one girl – Daria Obukhova from the Dzau district.
The youngest rider, 15-year-old Alan Gagloev, based on the results of the races, has become the winner among the participants on foreign breeds of horses. The second place was taken by Soslan Dzagoev, the third place by Soslan Gazzaev.
The first place among the riders on local horses was taken by Shamil Kachmazov, the second place by Daria Obukhova and the third place by Alan Gagloev.
The participants of the event were congratulated on the Day of Proclamation of the Act of Independence of the Republic by Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports, Ruslan Khubezhty.
He wished the winners of the horse racing success and new achievements.
The winners and runners-up were awarded cups and cash prizes.
