The Spanish football club Girona is considering signing midfielder Eduard Spertsyan from Krasnodar. The interest in the player resumed after Alex Garcia left the team.
Girona has contacted the Russian club to start negotiations on Spertsyan, but the negotiations are complicated by Krasnodar’s financial demands. The Spanish club is ready to sign the player this summer, but the amount requested by the Russian club significantly exceeds Girona’s capabilities.
Previously, there was information about Spertsyan’s possible transfer to Girona, but Krasnodar had not received an official request from the Spanish side. Nevertheless, Krasnodar is aware of Girona’s interest and has stated the approximate price for the player.
Thus, at the moment, the probability of Spertsyan moving to Girona remains in question, as the parties have not reached an agreement on the financial terms of the transfer.
Krasnodar certainly will not let their leader go this summer for a small amount, but Italian and French clubs are also showing interest in Spertsyan and may try to meet Krasnodar’s demands.
We do not know exactly how much the Russian club is asking for Spertsyan now, but it is certainly more than last year (15-18 mln euros). Krasnodar has already sold Safonov to PSG this summer for 20 million euros, so they do not urgently need to sell Spertsyan, and only a generous offer could convince them.
