Azerbaijani athletes are taking part in the World Games of Young Compatriots, which are being held in Moscow from December 5 to 11.
The games include competitions in five kinds of sports, namely, basketball 3×3, mini-football, volleyball, chess and table tennis, the Russian Information and Cultural Centre told Azertag.
Moreover, the children will have an excursion programme in the Cosmos Pavilion and Patriot Park, review thematic master classes, games and historical reconstructions, a retro match of the Kontinental Hockey League Spartak – Dynamo Moscow.
The “Dialogues in Russian” intellectual game, the participants of which will test their knowledge of culture, literature, history, geography and the Russian language will be the traditional event of the cultural and educational programme.
The games were organised by the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation, the Ministry of Sport, the Sports Department of Moscow and the All-Russian School Sports Federation. The operator is RK-Sport, the sports platform of the Roscongress Foundation.
