The French football club Lens has made an official offer to the Russian club Krasnodar to purchase midfielder Eduard Spertsyan. However, the Russian club has rejected the offer, reports the French publication Foot Mercato.

Eduard Spertsyan, one of the leading players in the Russian Premier League, is in high demand on the international stage. This is particularly noticeable in light of the player’s recent successes: last season, he scored 11 goals and provided 7 assists in 33 matches for Krasnodar. His outstanding performance has attracted the attention of many European clubs, including Lens.

The owner of Lens, Joseph Oughourlian, who is of Armenian descent, has a special regard for Spertsyan, considering him the best Armenian footballer of modern times. Oughourlian sees Eduard not only as a key player for his team but also as a symbol of Armenian football pride, making his acquisition particularly significant.

Despite the attractive offer, Krasnodar has firmly decided not to sell their leader. The Russian club aims to retain its best players and further strengthen its positions in the national championship. Under these circumstances, Lens faces serious difficulties in persuading Krasnodar to part with Spertsyan.

The situation remains tense, and Lens does not lose hope for a successful conclusion of the negotiations. However, at present, the Russian club maintains a firm stance, complicating the realization of the transfer. Thus, for now, Eduard Spertsyan’s future remains tied to Krasnodar, despite all the efforts of the French club.
